Challenge — A national wholesaler of high-end custom-designed stationery to more than 250 retail locations, The Happy Envelope turned to Bluegill when the company’s sales strategy shifted to using the Internet for direct consumer sales. The firm had a website but the e-commerce functionality was inconsistent and SEO efforts were not driving sales.

Solution — Bluegill redesigned The Happy Envelope’s online store including a custom e-commerce shopping cart and a back-end fulfillment solution. The site allows for visitors to customize design templates themselves with their own photos, text, and fonts, seeing previews of the finished piece in real time before placing their order. The site offers well over one hundred products. A new social media and SEO strategy drives traffic to the site. The result is a deeply functional web presence with a dynamic and engaging design on the front-end, and a back-end system that has greatly streamlined the client’s business processes. Sales have increased several-fold since the site launched.
